The Music of What Happens (CW: SA)

The Music of What Happens was recommended by a friend and honestly not something I would have picked up on my own. It was a quick read, decent, but what stuck with me more than anything was how it handled the topic of 'was I assaulted, or not?' when it came to sex one of the MC's wasn't completely on board with. It's a story you hear often - 'well, I'd asked to stop, but he'd promised it'd get better and that I'd like it. And I guess I did, so I'm fine, right?'

Wrong.

Max coming to terms with what happened to him, sharing that experience, and moving on (with the other MC, who was not the perpetrator to be clear), is - in and of itself - a beautiful story.
